Just got my Macan EV and need a radar detector that won't freak out. My last setup with my old ride was a total headache, kept having voltage issues and shutting down. Anyone got any solid recommendations for a detector that plays nice with the Macan’s electrical system?

Hit me up with your tips cause I really don’t need any more speeding tickets! TIA.

Ah, Valentine 1 sounds like a solid choice! But I’m leaning towards something a little lighter on the wallet. Anyone had any luck with a more budget-friendly option that won’t mess with the car’s systems?

Try with Uniden R7. It is cheaper, but I don't know anything about its performance.

Congrats on the Macan EV! For a smooth ride, I’d recommend the Escort Redline 360 it’s solid and should work well with your car's electrical system. I was also going to suggest the Valentine 1 Gen2 but I gather it’s not your favorite. Either way both should keep you ticket-free without the hassle

Just a heads-up EVs have really sensitive electrical systems which can cause problems with radar detectors. You'll need a detector that uses minimal power and has strong filtering to reduce false alarms. The Valentine One Gen2 and Uniden R8 are excellent choices known for their superior filtering and reliability. Use a properly wired and fused direct-wire kit to prevent electrical problems. And for a clean look consider using a blendmount to keep it neatly installed. You want it to look like it belongs there not an afterthought.
