Porsche Macan Under-Door Puddle Lights

I’m super curious about those under-door puddle lights on the Macan. If I skip that option, are there any other lights that pop on to light up the ground when I unlock the car?
I’m all about safety and being able to see where I’m stepping, especially when it’s dark out!

I think when you hit the key fob to unlock the car, it usually kicks on the hazard lights, much like it does on the Taycan and most modern vehicles.
 
Hey, when you're looking at the options list, don't just think about what looks cool. Really think about what you want your car to be. What's your goal? Once you figure that out, see if the options help you get there. If they do and you can afford them, go for it! Otherwise, skip them.

Personally, I'm not crazy about this particular option. I think looks are important, but I don't think this one looks that great. I'd rather spend the money on something that makes the car look better.

But hey, if you really like it and you can afford it, go for it! No judgment here.
 
The puddle lights are a nice touch, but the placement is a bit awkward. I think they'd be more practical if they were in the mirrors. It would be much more helpful to have the ground illuminated as I approach the car. But I haven't seen this on any of the cheap tuned cars I've seen in Europe, so it does add a bit of a unique touch.
